LOCALIZATIONHUB /PRIVACY

Privacy, in plain language.

This page describes what LocalizationHub does with your files and account data.

Local Projects

Local Projects stay on your machine unless you explicitly choose to use a Cloud Project or an online collaboration feature.

Cloud Projects

Cloud projects are stored on the server and require a signed-in account. Each member can access the project according to their role: Owner, Editor, or Viewer.

Accounts

Cloud features use account details needed for authentication, sessions, membership, and email verification.

Project data

LocalizationHub uses project data to let you edit and save translations, work with your team, and review earlier changes.

Retention

Local browser projects can be lost when browser data is cleared. Export copies of important projects. Cloud project records remain while the project exists; no separate automatic deletion period is currently specified.

Deletion

You can delete a Local Project copy from the Web App. Authorized Cloud members can delete a Cloud Project. A signed-in account can also delete itself from the account band on the Projects page: the account, its sessions, and the Cloud Projects it owns are removed, and the account email has to be typed back to confirm.

Logs

The collaboration server handles API requests for Cloud features. The product does not expose a customer log-export screen, and this page does not claim a specific log-retention period.

Analytics

The website and Web App do not use third-party marketing analytics. LH Radio does not track listening activity.

API keys

Machine translation API keys are kept in application memory and are not stored in project files, localization files, application configuration, local storage, or logs. On the website, DeepL requests briefly pass the session key and current text through LocalizationHub to DeepL when you press Translate; LocalizationHub does not keep either.

Third-party infrastructure

The Windows desktop build is distributed privately to approved testers; the browser editor is public. Cloud infrastructure and email delivery may change as the product evolves.

Music and third-party embeds

LH Radio streams audio tracks that are uploaded and administered directly by LocalizationHub. LocalizationHub does not build tracking around the player and does not receive any third-party account details.
